Managing Devices

Customer - Manage physical Devices

To manage a device on your fleet you should log-in with your credentials. Then navigate to device management page by going to Manage > Devices.

All the devices will be listed, and you can export all the data related to your devices by clicking on “Export” button at the top right side.

To find a specific device use any of the following filters:

• Name
• Device IMEI
• SIM Number
• Brand
• Model
• UID
• Serial Number
• Assign to
• Asset Category
• RFID status

After finding the device, click on the check box on the left side of the device name.

From the right side, you can click on the “Disable/enable” button to take an instant action.

Customer - Manage Virtual devices

To manage a virtual device on your fleet you should log-in with your credentials. Then navigate to device management page by going to Manage > Devices. Then click on the “Virtual Devices” tab on the right.

• The virtual device is a group of sensors linked together without a physical device.

All the devices will be listed, to find a specific device use any of the following filters:

• Name
• UID
• Serial Number
• Assign to
• Asset Category

After finding the device, click on the check box on the left side of the device name.

From the right side, you can click on “Assign Attachments”

You will be redirected to “Assign Attachment to Device”

• The virtual device info will be listed on the left row
• The Unassigned attachments will be listed on the middle row
• The attachments assigned to the “virtual device” will be listed on the right row.

To Assign/Unassign attachments, move them between the middle and right row, just by dragging and dropping the attachment.

• Click on save at the bottom right corner.

• All the devices, virtual devices, and attachments should be created by STCs admin/ Field operations.

Admin - Managing Devices

Admin - Adding Devices

To add a device to your fleet you should log-in with an Admin user. Then navigate to device management page by going to Manage > Devices then clicking the Add Device button on the top right corner.

Add Devices option will be available only for the Admin users or FO (Field Operations) users

On this page you can add all sorts of different information about your device:

Device Information

• Device Name (required): define a designated name of your choosing that will help you identify this device.

• Device Type (required): Select whether this device is a Physical device or Virtual Device.

  The following fields will be changed according to the device type.

  • Physical device
• Device IMEI (required): enter the International Mobile Equipment Identity number of the device.
• Device Brand (required): Select device brand from the drop-down menu.
• Model (required): select the device model from the drop-down menu.
• Device UID: enter the Unique Identifier of the device.
• Device Serial Number: enter the serial number of the device.

Device Attachments

• Attachment type (required): select attachment type from the drop down menu.

SIM Information

• SIM Country Code: enter the country code of the SIM card.
• SIM Number: enter the number of the SIM card.

• SIM Type: choose type of SIM card

• Description: enter any extra information you want to add about the device.

Then click on Save at the lower left corner.

Admin - Adding virtual Devices

To add a device to your fleet you should log-in with an Admin user. Then navigate to device management page by going to Manage > Devices then clicking the Add Device button on the top right corner.

Add Devices option will be available only for the Admin users or FO (Field Operations) users

On this page you can add all sorts of different information about your device:

Device Information

• Device Name (required): define a designated name of your choosing that will help you identify this device.

• Device Type (required): Select whether this device is a Physical device or Virtual Device.

  The following fields will be changed according to the device type.

  • Virtual device

  About virtual devices :You can link a group of sensors without the need to an actual device by adding a virtual device.

• Device UID (required): enter the Unique Identifier of the device.

• Device Serial Number: enter the serial number of the device.

• Description: enter any extra information you want to add about the device.

Then click on Save at the lower left corner.

Adding Attachments

To add an attachment to your fleet you should log-in with an Admin user. Then navigate to attachment management page by going to Manage > Attachments then clicking the Add Attachment button on the top right corner.

Add Attachment option will be available only for the Admin users or FO (Field Operations) users

On this page you can add all sorts of different information about your device:

Attachment Name and Type

• Attachment Name (required): define a designated name of your choosing that will help you identify this attachment.
• Attachment UID (required): enter the Unique Identifier of the attachment.
• Attachment Type (required): Select the attachment type from the drop-down menu
• Device UID: select the device UID from the list

• Attachment Serial Number: enter the device serial number

• Description: enter any extra information you want to add about the device.

Click on save at the lower left corner.

Admin - Assign Attachments

To assign attachment / attachments to a virtual device, you must have at least one unassigned attachment. Log-in with an Admin user. Then navigate to device management page by going to Manage > Devices then go to the Virtual Devices tab.

Assigning attachments will be available only for the Admin users or FO (Field Operations) users

All the virtual devices will be listed, select the device you want to assign attachments to.

Find the device by using the following filters:

• Name
• UID
• Assign to
• Asset Category

After finding the device, click on “Assign attachments” button under the row actions.

• All the unassigned attachments will be listed
• Drag and drop them to assign them to the virtual device.

Click on save at the lower left corner.
